As you know, I am battling with a rare soft tissue sarcoma known as clear cell sarcoma. It is aggressive, and unpredictable and requires the amputation of my lower right leg on 2/15. To help with my recovery, I am asking something from all of you.
You always hear the phrases “Life is short,” “You aren’t guaranteed tomorrow”, etc. Well, I’m here to ask you to “Make It Count”!! Make every day that you have left on this earth count for something.
Is there something you have been putting off? Maybe a trip, volunteering, reaching out to an old friend, donating to an organization, starting an exercise regime, wanting to take that extra step in your business, applying for that new job, or marking something off your bucket list? It could be something as simple as reading a book you have been delaying, taking your child to the park, or running that extra mile. I’m asking you to do it! Could you do it now and do it for me?
I want to challenge and ask each of you to please post pictures of your accomplishments or make a post of your efforts with #makeitcountforcort and tag my FB page “Make It Count For Cort” my Instagram page at @makeitcountforcort or my Twitter page at @countforcort. I aim to reach as many people as possible from all over the country. I’m asking you to share this information on your FB, Instagram or Twitter pages and spread the word to your coworkers, neighbors, relatives, fellow parishioners and even your children.
Please help me with this simple cause. It is important to me to make a difference in your life and everyone you know. This will help me in my recovery and my desire to leave a lasting impact. My ultimate goal is to turn this cause into a way to benefit individuals suffering from the same disease.
